SIX Evesham Vale Running Club members joined the Bourton 10-kilometre race in the Cotswolds.

The runners made best use of the cool, calm morning, flat route, and strong field to post excellent times.

Iain Jennings led them home with a new club 10k record of 35 minutes six seconds.

Steve Sandalls marked his return to form with 38.31 and club chairman Adam Spiers achieved a new personal best by over a minute, in 42.12.

Chris Taylor clocked 40.24, Lindsey Lewis-Painter 42.49 and Nikki Holden one hour 22 seconds.
