Burrows brace sees Rovers to cup final
OFFENHAM Rovers reached their first Bluck Cup final with a 6-3 victory at fellow Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Three outfit Gardeners Arms.
The two teams shared six first-half goals before Rovers struck three times in the second period.
Their goals came from Burrows (2), Kilminster, Cox, Tustin and Trinder, while Gardeners replied through Dyke (2) and Beasley.
Honeybourne Gate Inn booked a semi-final place in the Barry Brotherton Cup by defeating Evesham WMC 5-3.
Brookes (2), Tomes, Mills and Layton scored for Gate, while Ford netted twice for the Workies.
Broadway United won Group ‘A’ as Horsburgh, Jeffs and Williams swooped in a 3-0 success over Mickleton Rangers.
Pinvin United are also through following a 2-2 draw at Defford/Besford United.
Croy and Ballard scored for Defford and Upfield hit a brace for Pinvin.
Bear moved further clear in Division Two, defeating Stour Excelsior 2-0 with goals from Keen and Smith- Daniel.
Fladbury Athletic moved second, winning 4-1 at Tesco United thanks to Sanders (2), Heath and Jervis.
Doubles from Evans and Burtenshaw kept up Lenches Lions’ survival hopes with a 4-3 victory over Bredon.
Greaves struck twice to earn Alderton a fine 2-1 win at AC Olympia with Morrison replying.
WMK remain in the promotion picture following a comfortable 5-1 success over Cider Mill with goals from Sklenaar (3), Beckingham and Pritchard.
In Division Three, Ecosamba triumphed 3-2 at Badsey Recreation thanks to a Barton hat-trick. Trotman scored twice for Badsey.
Broadway United Reserves eased their relegation worries with a six-goal victory at Ashton through Reading (4), Parker and Schofield.
Dragons lost further ground in the Division Four promotion race after being held to a 3-3 draw by Vale Wanderers.
