SHIMANO and Dynamite Baits-backed ace Rob Wootton lifted the Shakespeare Championship trophy and £6,000 first prize at the Evesham Festival.
After a close match on the River Avon, the Leicester rod caught good perch and chub on long pole and flat float tactics, feeding chopped worms and maggots through a bait dropper.
His winning net included perch to 2lbs and chub to 3lbs with him adding a couple of late fish on waggler to boost his total to 13lbs 1oz.
Second with 9-9 was Gary Miller, who won the event in 2010, backed up early fish on bloodworm with a good net of perch and eels taken on maggot feeder from peg 25 on the Corporation Meadow.
Preston Innovations-backed ace Michael Buchwalder finished third.
Arthur, who also won the contest in 2011, pocketed a £3,000 winner’s cheque after a late barbel saw him clinch victory by just five ounces.
He caught the barbel on worm, fished over a bed of chopped worm and caster.
Second was WB Clarke rod Sean Riedy with 11-10 from peg 44.
He banked two good tench and a handful of perch and eels on maggot feeder cast to far bank cover.
Local rod Jeff Spiers was third from peg 10.
The team, made up of Simon Willsmore, Darren Davies, Will Raison, Buchwalder and Ian Didcote, beat second-placed Shakespeare Superteam by 12 points.
In the individual stakes, Pete Morris, of W B Clarke, triumphed with 11-8 from peg 19.
He caught a double-figure barbel on maggot feeder, cast down to a lilly bed to his left, and a handful of smaller perch on the pole.
