BADSEY need just one more point from their final game at relegation-threatened Norton Lindsey seconds on Saturday to secure back-toback promotions.
The villagers are second in John Shepherd Cotswold Hills League Division Three after collecting 23 points from a 113-run home win over Shipston-on-Stour seconds.
But Badsey were rattled after just 23 balls with bowlers Nick Hibberd (4-18) and Joe Godson (4-35) taking four wickets for just one run.
Sam Thomson (86) and Rob Andrew (71) steadied the ship in a 137-run partnership over 30 overs.
Ryan Attwood (13) had a 50- run stand with Andrew but Badsey were dismissed in the 44th over for 191.
In reply, Shipston were reduced to 65-6 after 20 overs with Nick Clarke claiming 1-25 and John Osborne 4-27.
Ryan Smith claimed 3-8 in five overs and Thomson (2- 10) mopped up the rest to leave Shipston on 78 all out in the 31st over.
Tewkesbury top the Gloucester Division ahead of the final weekend despite a 74- run loss at second-placed Apperley.
