JAMIE Insall netted a hattrick as Littleton ended a run of two 3-1 defeats in the St Mary’s Hospice Midland Football Combination Premier Division.
The Vale side, who lost 3-1 to Studley and Brocton, drew 3-3 at Southam United on Bank Holiday Monday with the speedy Insall scoring on 18, 75 and 77 minutes.
The goal rush was welcome as Littleton were struggling to cope with the loss of prolific strikers Jamie Clarke and Joe Lolley and defender Simon Fitter.
At home to Brocton last weekend, the visitors went ahead on 12 minutes through Gary Fife’s penalty.
Littleton equalised on 50 minutes through a free-kick from Chris Cornes who also scored against Studley.
But the hosts’ fragile defence was punished twice in the 78th and 80th minutes by Craig Hulme and Fife.
Littleton host Castle Vale JKS on Saturday (3pm).
