EVESHAM United defeated Market Drayton Town 3-1 in FA Carlsberg Trophy to set up a first qualifying round home tie with Leek Town.
The Robins had to come from a goal down against their Northern League Division One South opponents at the Jubilee Stadium.
Market Drayton took the lead on 40 minutes after poor marking at a corner led to the ball coming out to defender Sam Westray whose bicycle-kick found the net.
An improved second-half display saw Evesham score three times. First, on 48 minutes, Smith’s good work down the left was rewarded when Linden Dovey slotted home.
Midway through the half, Brown won the ball and ran 30 yards before shooting under the advancing Stevens.
In the 73rd minute, Marcus Jackson won a tackle and passed to Jared Wilson whose forceful run and cross allowed man-of-the-match Smith to glance the ball into the net.
Evesham: Bateman, Wilson, Mansell, Gregson, Richards, Botfield, M Jackson, Barnfield, Smith, Dovey (Palmer 89), Brown. Subs not used: Holloway, Tambling, Millard, A Jackson.
Having lost 4-3 to Pelsall Villa in the Midland Combination Premier Division, Andy Robbins’ side went down 6-3 at Southam in the second round of the Les James Memorial Cup.
The hosts took the lead after two minutes through Simeon Smith but Kyonn Evans drew the sides level.
Smith and Evans again traded goals for 2-2 before Jamie Insall put Littleton ahead.
The lead was short lived, however, as the hosts made it 3-3 before Smith completed his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time.
Callum Clarke hit the bar in the second period, and Brendan Hicks went close for the visitors, but they were caught on the break for the fifth and compounded matters by scoring an own goal through Richard Tomkins.
Mark Owen opened the scoring in the 18th minute and added a penalty 16 minutes later before new signing Scott Walsh got the third as half-time approached.
