EVESHAM’S JD Racing and rider Ashley Beech brought the curtain down on their National Superstock 1000 Championship campaign at Brands Hatch.
Having started round 12 on pole position, Beech, who has already signed up for the 2014 season, ended up finishing 15th on his Kawasaki ZX- 10R at the Kent circuit.
A time just 2/100ths of a second off the lap record secured him pole for a race contested in wet conditions.
When the flag dropped, Beech was involved in a mad dash to the first corner and with more than 40 riders bumping and barging, he managed to stay out of trouble but was 12th at the end of the first lap.
He dropped back several more places before eventually finishing in 15th.
Although disappointed, the team felt earning a championship point in extremely difficult conditions was a good achievement.
