SIX teams from local first schools battled the elements to compete for the Avonbrook Trophy at Inkberrow Eagles Football Club.
This new annual event aims to promote both competitive sports and sportsmanship among the first schools that feed into St Nicholas Middle in Pinvin.
Despite heavy rain and a blustery wind, the teams scored 52 goals between with Pinvin First crowned champions.
Inkberrow First and Crowle CofE First were runners-up while Crowle, Fladbury, Flyford Flavell and Upton Snodsbury also took part.
Heather Thomson, headteacher at Inkberrow First School, said: “The children played well and made new friends.”
