Dawe and Curtis steer Ashton into last eight

ASHTON reached the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League’s Bluck Cup last eight with a 2-1 home win over Badsey Recreation.

The hosts scored through Dawe and Curtis with Lane replying.

Tewkesbury Town Reserves won 9-1 at Anchor Harriers as Kavanagh, Mace and Sutherland were among the scorers.

Division Three leaders Alcester Town hit 15 against Ambi Allsports with Hoskins, Richardson and Dance netting trebles. A Dalloway double helped Stratford United prevail at Bengeworth and Ecosamba beat Elmley Castle 8-1 thanks to Barton (2), Watts (2), Grey (2) and Tai.

Sun Inn won 2-1 at Broadway United Reserves through Ed Major and Parry.

Inkberrow defeated Dragons 3-2 thanks to a Sheen treble.

Ambassador moved to the top of Division Four after Carter, Unwin, Keay and Booth helped defeat Vale Wanderers 4-0. Pebworth are within three points following a 6-2 victory over Stour Excelsior Reserves when Lane (3), Skinner, Gray and Foster swooped.

Dartnell earned Fortis three points at Harvington.

Tesco United were knocked off the Division Two summit when Stour Excelsior hit six without reply through Harris (2), Seys, Godson, Shurmer and Wright.

Pritchard earned new leaders WMK the win over Offenham Rovers and Bredon thrashed Evesham United Harriers 10-2 with Diamond (4), Wood (2), Drew, Twine, Noble and Hayward scoring.

Tewkesbury Town won 3-1 at AC Olympia through Petitt (2) and Jordan, while Alderton moved off the bottom with a 2-1 victory over Cidermill as Stocks and Ambridge scored and Heritage replied.

Bear’s perfect Division One start came to an abrupt end, losing 5-2 to Bretforton Old Boys.

Witts, Clarke, Reeves, Brown and an own goal fired Old Boys with Smith-Daniel and Sutton responding. Leaders Pinvin United beat Fladbury Athletic 4-2 through Mark Bellamy (3) and Roberts.

Peterson and Beattie replied.

Mickleton Rangers earned their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Eckington as Carter scored twice and Ellis and Collins replied.

Lee Brookes’ double saw Honeybourne Gate Inn defeat Broadway United 2-0, while Dixon, Scott and Rowley scored as Evesham WMC beat Defford/Besford United 3-1.
