ONLY five Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League matches survived the wet weather with all of them played on 3G artificial pitches.

Division One leaders Pinvin United missed out on the chance of stretching their lead at the top as they crashed to a 6-2 defeat at neighbours Pershore High Old Boys.

Coathup, Taylor, Evans, Haynes, Warren and Worthington scored for Old Boys, while Pinvin replied through Bulford and Bellamy.

Division Two top team Tewkesbury Town knocked higher-ranked Broadway United out of the Express- Funding Mick Godwin Cup 6-2.

They reached the second round with goals from the prolific Jake Petitt (3), Scott Jordan (2) and Halling.

In Division Three, Ecosamba dented Inkberrow’s promotion hopes with goals from Barton (2), Watts (2) and Robey in a 5-2 success.

Inkberrow replied through Steele and Grant.

Stratford United stay top of Division Four with a 4-2 victory over promotion-hopefuls Pebworth. Bannergee (2), Dulce and Dixon scored for the leaders, while Lane netted twice for Pebworth.

Sun Inn maintained their promotion hopes with a 13- goal thumping of Ambi Allsports through Parry (5), Ed Major (3), Steger (2), Will Major, Allen and Collins.
