A COMMUNITY club is being launched at Pershore High School through British Basketball League outfit Worcester Wolves.

It is part of Wolves’ plans to resurrect the sport across Worcestershire through IM Basketball and six satellite clubs.

Community basketball development officer Chris Cox said: “The six Worcester Wolves-affiliated school satellite clubs will provide community members and students with weekly, coached basketball sessions.

“Four of the six satellite clubs will be reserved exclusively for students aged between 14 and 19 years of age.

“They will be hosted at Hereford Sixth Form College, Pershore High School, Hanley Castle High School and Dyson Perrins Academy, Malvern.”
