THE Vale is set for its biggest night of boxing on Saturday at Evesham High School sports hall.
This is the first event in the country where amateur boxers will not be wearing headguards.
Top of the bill is UBC elite super heavyweight champion Karolis Baubkus against the up-and-coming Russell Henshaw.
UBC elite middleweight champion Zaheer Asghar defends his belt against former inter champion Jack Williams.
Tewkesbury middleweight Adam Harper challenges Stoke's Nathan Heaney for the vacant UBC inter middleweight title.
Worcester's Jon Roberts challenges for the vacant UBC inter lightweight title against Leon Woodstock of Leicester Unity.
Promoter Todd Reeves said: "This promises to be an action-packed night of top-class boxing. With headguards out and pro scoring in, this is an exciting time for domestic boxing."
Doors open at 7pm and boxing starts at 8pm. Tickets are £15 and available on the door.
