BREDON won again in the Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Evesham Division.

They defeated Redditch with seven balls left after scoring 115-2 in reply to the town side's 114 all out at the Worcestershire Cricket Centre.

Redditch's improvement without key players was demonstrated by posting a decent score but the top half of the order produced the runs.

Jack Roberson (28) and James Bevan (48) helped them to 58 without loss in the sixth over, so 114 all out was a little disappointing from a solid start.

James Freeman (17) contributed at number three but little else came from the lower order.

Jamie Munro picked up two stumpings for Bredon, while young Jamie Diamond was the pick of their bowlers with 1-12.

Clive Fenney (28 not out), opening for Bredon, retired halfway through the third over before Munro (25no) and Tim McVicker (11) brought up the 50 soon after.

McVicker was well caught and bowled by Bevan and Redditch were still in the game.

But when Jamie Munro and Ali Munro (26no) retired, it became clear Bredon had too much fire-power through their batsmen waiting to return.

The inevitable came with an over and four wickets to spare.

Meanwhile, Feckenham maintained their unbeaten record by dismissing Evesham Casuals for 70 and reaching 71-2 with 10 balls remaining.

Casuals started off like the proverbial hare but ran out of steam after posting 37-1 in the first three overs.

At the halfway point, the rate had been maintained at over 10-an-over but many had come and gone, losing five wickets to a variety of errors.

In the seventh over, the final wicket fell to Ben Adshead (2-13), while Alex Richardson picked up 2-20.

Those who failed to last the distance for Casuals in Pete Cross (15), Jamie Clarke (17) and Luke Richardson (16) could easily have changed the game with a little patience.

Feckenham needed only six-an-over to win and took the tortoise approach which can occasionally come unstuck.

Despite poor calls leading to the run-outs of Adshead (12) and Andy Kings, the mission was accomplished with time to spare.

Josh Stacey (25no) held firm, while Luke Jackson (11no) and Alex Richardson (10 no) finished the job.

For Casuals, Alex Evans conceded only eight runs in two overs.

The next matches tomorrow from 8pm see Dumbleton play Prince Henry's and Ashton-under-Hill tackle The Boxmen.
