WINCHCOMBE Town were one of few football teams to get a game on but lost 2-1 at home to Smiths Athletic in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two.

Ed Major scored the goal as ninth-placed Town went down to a side two places below them in the table. Many other matches fell foul of waterlogged pitches.

Winchcombe visit Wotton Rovers on Saturday, while Moreton Rangers hope to return to action after postponements at Chalford (both 3pm).
