DUMBLETON did Ashton-under-Hill a favour by ending Feckenham's unbeaten run this season in the Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Evesham Division.

A fine match saw Dumbleton claim their first win of the campaign as Feckenham, from a promising start of 50-0 after four overs through Josh Stacey and Ben Adshead (23), managed just 24 in the next three overs.

Adshead was bowled trying to work a straight ball away and Andy King followed stumped with both wickets falling to Andy Stuart (2-17).

Stacey retired and two avoidable run-outs followed that took the wind out of Feckenham's sails.

With Stacey (39 not out) returning alongside Ryan Humphries (21no), Feckenham still set a challenging total of 128-4.

In reply, Dumbleton's batting was a revelation for their 129-2 although Simon Slabbert (13) departed to a run-out on 40 in the fourth over.

Adam Stuart (28no) joined Andy Powell (27no) until both retired as Feckenham were just ahead on run-rate but Dumbleton scored consistently at more than 10-an-over.

Matt Nicholson (10) departed in the eighth when Dumbleton got their noses in front on 94-2.

Then Tom Green (27 no) took charge as they scored off nearly every ball to take the last 35 runs in 15 balls with 18 coming from the 10th over.

Bredon (140-0) beat a youthful Prince Henry's side (112-5) by 28 runs in an entertaining encounter.

All their batsmen were undefeated as Clive Fenney, Tim McVicker, Jamie Munro and Jamie Diamond reached retirement scores.

Prince Henry's bowlers were tight early on with Matt Knight's three overs going for 20 and Brent McOmish's two for 17.

In reply, Prince Henry's opened with Dominic Fenney (31) and Joe Vose (9) facing Clive Fenney (0-19).

McOmish (11), George Burford (10) and Gio Capaldi (31no) managed creditable contributions as Bredon's bowlers lacked a degree of pace as they tired.

Matches tonight from 8pm see Ashton face Redditch and The Boxmen tackle Evesham Casuals.
