PERSHORE Rugby Club increased Evesham's woes at the bottom of Midlands Three West (South) with a 17-12 win at their Vale rivals.
The visitors' forwards were dominant in the line-out and breakdown but Evesham achieved at least parity in the scrums.
Pershore opened the scoring with a forward drive after Toby Grace collected a line-out with prop Lee Synnuck claiming the touchdown.
Skipper Lewis Dolphin converted and, although losing prop Alex Peel to injury, Pershore extended the lead with a try from winger Andy Jenkinson.
After an interception under their own posts, Evesham's dangerous backs raced the length of the field to score a converted try on half-time.
With 10 minutes gone of the second period, Pershore extended their lead after strong running from centre Steve Holmes before hooker Jameson Lane sneaked over in the corner.
Evesham closed the gap through a try from their winger in the corner.
Pershore nearly grabbed a bonus-point score with Synnuck held up over the line and a Josh Hardiman effort ruled out for a forward pass.
