TALENTED Moreton-in-Marsh dressage rider Phoebe Peters claimed a string of successes in her first international of the season at the Addington Manor CDI.

The 14-year-old Chipping Campden School pupil claimed all three PFEI classes, winning the team test with 76.02 per cent, the individual with a new personal best of 79.18 and the musical freestyle with 82.8.

Peters was the first British rider to win a pony dressage gold medal at the European Championships, bagging two titles and creating a new musical freestyle world record.

She competes at pony level for 12 to 16 year olds and first represented Great Britain when 11.

At Addington Manor, there were 22 pony riders and Peters won her three classes convincingly by four, five and eight per cent respectively.

Two of the judges will be at this year’s European Championships in Ireland when Peters aims to become the first rider to retain both the individual and freestyle gold.
