LITTLETON came from behind to edge determined opponents Alvis 2-1 in an exciting Midland Combination Premier Division clash.

Alvis started strongly and could have been out of sight after 15 minutes but for inspired keeping by Haydn Whitcombe.

However, it came as no surprise when Alvis took the lead on 32 minutes with a powerful cross-shot.

In the second period, Littleton exerted pressure and created a number of chances with Kyonn Evans a constant thorn for the visitors on the left.

On 73 minutes, the hosts equalised when Luke Rowlands used his pace and strength to set up a chance which he converted with a powerful drive.

Evans beat four defenders before Stuart Hall shot over and Will Gayton's chip was well saved following a fine Hayward pass.

Littleton then forced a goalmouth scramble and hit the bar before they bagged the winner two minutes into injury-time.

Simon Fitter, Evans and Gayton were all involved with the latter's first-time ball calmly converted from close range by Callum Clarke.

Mid-table Littleton host Racing Warwick on Saturday and visit local rivals Pershore Town next Monday (both 3pm).
