TWO much-improved Midlands Three West (South) rugby sides clashed in Wyre Piddle with Pershore holding off Shipston-on-Stour.
The hosts won 36-17 and are now sixth in the table after a slow start to the season.
Visitors Shipston looked in big trouble with a 10-point deduction and also began the campaign poorly but finished third from bottom after completing their league fixtures.
Pershore, who can still finish fourth, have two home games left against champions Old Yardleians on Saturday and Upton on May 10.
However, Evesham continued to struggle at the foot of the table with a 22-5 defeat at Manor Park and finish a dismal season at Upton on May 3.
Bredon Star entertain Broad Plain in the final Gloucester Division Two fixture of the campaign on Saturday.
After a five-point deduction, Star cannot catch champions Old Cryptians but have secured second spot.
