MORETON Rangers are celebrating promotion to Gloucestershire Northern Senior Football League Division One after a busy end to the season.

Former Fulham player and Kidderminster Harriers assistant manager Gary Barnett’s side finished second in Division Two behind old rivals Barometrics with a nine-point advantage over third-placed Newent Town.

Rangers completed their campaign with a 4-2 home win over third-from-bottom Wotton Rovers when Lee Brooks (2), Shaun Stanley and Martin Tomes scored the goals.

They won 1-0 at Smiths Athletic in midweek after thrashing Tuffley Rovers Reserves 7-0 the previous weekend. Meanwhile, Winchcombe Town finished 10th in the table.

In the Witney and District FA League, Chipping Norton Town secured third spot in the Premier Division with Bourton Rovers managing fourth in their first Division One season and Kingham ending in seventh place.
