PERSHORE Town won the Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup final 2-1 against Malvern Town at the Langland Stadium.

Both teams had chances to score in a close match to end the season and Malvern went ahead on 15 minutes when a Pershore defender's clearance rebounded off forward Dave Reynolds into the net.

But the visitors equalised on the half-hour mark when Phil Marsh converted from the penalty spot and veteran substitute Richard Congrave scored the winner.

The former Worcester City forward cleverly shielded the ball in the box before turning and scoring with 15 minutes left.
