MOLLIE Cresswell starred for Evesham as the club bagged seven gold medals at the level two Gloucester open meeting.

The nine-year-old swimmer won four races and set five personal bests and three county qualifying times for next year.

She won the 200-metre backstroke (three minutes 18.85 seconds), 200m individual medley (3.22.66), 50m backstroke (43.10) and 200m butterfly (3.59.72).

Chloe Mabbett, 15, bagged gold in the 50m backstroke in 32.53 and silvers in the 50m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.

Charlie Waites, 13, won the 50m backstroke (30.29) and 50m freestyle (26.69) and claimed silver in the 50m butterfly alongside pbs and county times.

Rachel Egan, nine, was fourth in the 200m individual medley, while Kieran Cooper and Harry Ward, both 10, also set a string of pbs and county times as did Amy Cooper.

Evesham finished sixth in the Nuneaton League Division Two second round as they aim to consolidate after promotion.

Amber Cape, nine, won the 25m breaststroke in 25.67 and Sophie Pettit, 10, grabbed a county time in the 50m breaststroke.

There were pbs for Luke Funnell, Eden Rees, Faye Castle, Ollie Gill, Tristan Evans-Cook and Isabelle Hornblow.
