EVESHAM skittles team The Reckers won the final Shoot Out tournament of the season in Torquay.
Teams came from as far afield as Wales, London, Gloucester and Somerset to compete.
There were just 32 pins separating the eight finalists as they lined up for the last round over three days.
The final two players for Reckers, made up of regulars in the Evesham and District League, each needed a spare to win.
Team captain and secretary Russell Knight pulled off a 16-point flattener before Richard Townsend clinched the cup with a 16 spare.
Meanwhile, Debbie Martin, playing for Evesham women’s team The Bosses, won the highest scoring lady trophy with 56.
Her late husband Dave was the original organiser of the Evesham teams.
Reckers have amassed several Shoot Out victories over 14 years of competing and will be tackling this year’s Butcombe British Skittles Championships.
