TOM Kohler-Cadmore and Shaaiq Choudhry return to the Worcestershire squad for today’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl (2pm).

Batsman Kohler-Cadmore suffered a finger injury attempting a catch during the cup encounter with Yorkshire at Headingley and missed Saturday’s thrilling seven-wicket win over Lancashire at New Road.

Spinner Choudhry was also absent with a 24-hour bug as the County, who are fifth in Group ‘A’, operated with an all-seam attack.

Rhodes said: “Tom just got a bit of a bleeding, sore, bruised finger. He had an x-ray and there is no break.

“He felt he couldn’t hit the ball 100 per cent and, while you have got other batters who are 100 per cent, it was probably the right thing to do (not play). He will come into the squad for Hampshire.

“Shaaiq has been ill. He turned up (for the Lancashire game). He’d been up since 2am and had got a 24-hour bug. He is back in the squad for today and hopefully will be OK.

“We might not have played him on Saturday because there is quite a bit of grass on that wicket and we are looking at a few options to try to take wickets.

“But we will be going down to Hampshire with him and there is a good chance he will play there. The wicket will be dry and turn a bit.”

Former Shropshire opener Richard Oliver is left out of the squad for Southampton after struggling to score many runs in the cup.

Rhodes added: “Richard is going to miss out. He is short of a few runs.

“We will take him back to the second team, get him scoring runs again and push him for a spot back.

“It will mean a change at the top of the order. I’m not going to give away who will play there.”

Meanwhile, England Lions play at New Road in their triangular series. They host Sri Lanka ‘A’ today and New Zealand ‘A’ tomorrow in Worcester (both 10.30am).

Adults will be charged £10 for entry and it is £5 for juniors. Lions will showcase the hitting power of Alex Hales, Ravi Bopara, Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow.

Hales had a loan spell at New Road earlier in the season from Nottinghamshire.

There will be another County connection in tomorrow’s clash with Colin Munro being part of the New Zealand squad.
