EVESHAM United host Didcot Town tonight (7.45) looking to keep themselves in the Southern League Division One South and West top 10.

The Robins have taken 10 points from their first seven games, five of which have come against teams currently in the top six.

The latest was a 1-1 draw at Wimborne Town on Saturday, which was also their fifth away match in the league to date.

But Paul Collicutt’s side are yet to win at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium and will be aiming to put that right tonight.

The Evesham manager said: “You can’t take anything for granted in this league, you have got to be prepared to work hard.

“We have had quite a hard start but it’s down to us with our home form to see if we can pick up a few more points to keep us up there.”

United will also be boosted by the return of strikers Lance Smith, Kevin Slack and Jack Watts and midfielder Aaron Drake, who all missed the Wimborne trip due to holiday and work commitments.

George Washbourne completes a two-match ban but fellow midfielder Elliot Kennedy could return after making progress from a back injury.

Striker Marcus Palmer has a back injury and defender Linden Dovey is still struggling with illness.
