THE leading lights from Offenham Cricket Club’s under 13 section have been recognised for their performances.

Ollie Moore capped a fine summer with the players’ player-of-the-year honour, while Tom Bailey and Liam Clear achieved the best batting and bowling averages respectively.

Dan Hughes was named the coach’s player-of-the-year.

Clear was given a special honour to help mark the hat-trick and five wickets he bagged against Broadway Club president Tom Ward made the presentations and gifts were also received by all coaches and the scorer, Debbie Harrison.

They gathered for their popular end-of-season single wicket tournament, which was won by Bailey.

Some very competitive cricket was observed throughout the fun-packed competition.

It was an all-Tom final with Tom Day taking on Bailey.

Day had demonstrated some excellent running between the wickets in the earlier rounds.

However, he faced some accurate bowling by Bailey which pegged back his score and Bailey was eventually victorious.

There was also a single wicket plate tournament which proved very competitive.

Dan Hughes beat Guy Harrison in the final.
