TITLE-chasing Evesham Rugby Club face their biggest challenge of the season at table-topping Rugby Lions on Saturday (2.15pm).

Evesham are second in Midlands Four West (South), seven points adrift of Lions, who have won all 10 of their league matches this term.

They have lost just twice in the league this season, including a 25-12 reverse to Lions in September.

Evesham have scored the most points in the division but must breach a Lions defence that has conceded just 40.

The Vale side enjoyed a 25-8 home win over Kings Norton for a fifth straight league success.

But Pershore’s play-off hopes suffered a setback in a 25-19 defeat at improving Harbury in Midlands Three West (South).

They are fourth after losing their last two matches but aim to bounce back at home to basement outfit Manor Park on Saturday (2.15pm).

Park have secured just two league wins, including a 27-17 home triumph over Pershore in September.
