COTSWOLD trainers aim for success in the eagerly-awaited point-to-point campaign.

The season will include the Duke of Beaufort meeting at Didmarton on Saturday, March 7, the Ledbury event at Maisemore Park on Sunday, March 29, and the North Cotswold at Paxford on Monday, April 6.

Other local meetings are the Cotswold at Andoversford on Sunday, April 12, the Cotswold Vale Farmers at the same course on Sunday, April 19, and the Berkeley meeting at Woodford on Saturday, April 25.

Guiting Power handler Sarah Stafford will combine with Laverton jockey Guy Disney on Swing Bill and Bally Cassel.

Disney rode his first winner on Noisy Miner at Barbury in 2003 before an Army career saw him lose part of his right leg.

Riding formed part of his rehabilitation and Disney faced a long battle to regain his licence.

Swing Bill, who won for David Pipe at Cheltenham in 2012, looks ideal for the task ahead.

Nine-year-old Bally Cassel claimed two Irish point-to-points in 2011, while the Stafford-trained Esteem could fancy the North Cotswold members’ race after just missing out in the past.

Bourton-on-the-Water trainer Tash Seely hopes Grand Silence can finally break his duck in his last season with connections eyeing up Andoversford.

Brize Norton won the North Ledbury members in 2014 but might be tested over four miles.

Adlestrop handler Anthea Moreshead has Locked Inthepocket, second in a Weatherby Hunter Chase, and Shannon Silver, who pulled up four times from six outings last year.

Adlestrop’s Claire Hart has eight, including Gift of Dreams after a maiden win at Maisemore and step up to restricted.

Chepstow Hunter Chase victor Vincitore and fine jumper Kazuri Kate are eye-catching, too.

Trafalgar Road, Argentato, four-year-old Tilinisi, Marblehead and Golfers Crossing are other possibles.

Condicote trainer Andrew Campbell recorded his biggest success when Charles Bruce scored at Cheltenham in 2013.

His wife Alice will work in the yard full-time and they have access to National Hunt trainer Martin Keighley’s gallops.

A maiden looks a formality for Mon Homme, while Moscow Charter can impress and Fiasco is brother to the Kim Bailey-trained Supreme Present.

Snowflake Flo is a promising chestnut mare and Campbell has several other youngsters.
