EVESHAM romped into the RFU Midlands Junior Vase semi-finals with an emphatic 35-6 victory at Old Yardleians.

The Vale outfit played excellent rugby at Cole Hall Lane, which delighted captain Nathan Chambers.

Sam Hopkins, Joe Cafearo, Michael Harris and Alex Tullett all crossed the whitewash for in-form Evesham in their four-try triumph.

Harris also kicked three penalties and three conversions.

Now Evesham travel to runaway Midlands Four West (North) leaders Cleobury Mortimer, who have won all 13 league matches, in a last-four tie on February 14.

Initially, the visitors started slowly at Old Yards, and led 8-6 before they scored a catch-and-drive try on the stroke of half-time.

Leading 13-6 at the break, Evesham at Old Yards before showed their class in the second-half to rack up 22 points.

The third-placed Vale side now turn their attention to Saturday’s visit from Atherstone in Midlands Four West (South) (2.15pm).
