HOSTS Pershore Town beat basement boys Pelsall Villa 4-2 in Midland League Division One.

Town went ahead in the first minute when Danny Lennon curled in a shot from the edge of the box.

But the visitors were the better team in the first half-an-hour and scored twice through Williams with a penalty and 12-yard volley as well as hitting the bar.

Town settled into the game and created chances with Lennon and Joe Robinson testing the keeper.

Mark Hands headed wide but Town levelled in the 34th minute when Jake Donnelly floated over a cross for ex-Littleton striker Stuart Hall to score from close range on his home debut.

Town dominated the second-half for long periods and took the lead when Hands headed across goal from a Matt Chambers free-kick into the path of Hall, who scored his second from six yards.

Joe Walsh and Matt Mitchell went close before substitute Steve Roche turned inside and finished from inside the box seven minutes from time.

In-form Town are up to 16th in the table and they entertain Racing Club Warwick on Saturday (3pm).
