ROBERT Thurman has been included in the British Basketball League team of the week for the second week running.

Worcester Wolves' centre took his total selections in the elite quintet for the season to seven with an excellent performance in the nail-biting 86-85 victory over Plymouth Raiders.

Thurman recorded a double-double against the Devon side at the University Arena after emerging with a 22-point and 10 rebound return.

The American also proved too hot to handle under the basket and highlighted his class with an efficient nine from 13 at the hoop to inflict more misery on Plymouth.

He is joined in the team by Cheshire Phoenix duo David Aliu and Taylor King, Leicester Riders' Tyler Bernardini and Mike Cook from Sheffield Sharks.

Wolves team-mate Jamal Williams, who scored 15 points against his former club, is one of seven players named on the bench for team of the week.

Victory kept Worcester second in the table ahead of Friday's visit of Durham Wildcats (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, Leicester Riders will face Newcastle Eagles in the BBL Trophy final at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Sunday, March 22.
