PERSHORE Town recorded a fifth consecutive win in Midland League Division One at Pilkington XXX.
The visitors controlled their 1-0 triumph from start to finish with the single goal not reflecting the balance of play.
Town's eighth-minute winner saw left-back Jake Donnelly cross for Stuart Hall, who controlled, turned and scored with a low shot into the corner of the net.
They had several good chances through Hall, Danny Lennon, Matt Chambers and Dave Williams, who hit the bar with a header and also nodded over from close range.
Pershore won 3-1 at Cadbury Athletic last week after taking the lead on 33 minutes when Hall finished off George Coley’s through-ball.
The hosts equalised from a corner just before half-time through Stuart Butcher from close range.
Despite Cadbury hitting the woodwork twice, Town played the better football on a poor surface.
Steve Webb gave Pershore the lead in the 82nd minute with a left-footed shot from just inside the box following good hold-up play from Hall.
Town scored again with three minutes left when Joe Robinson fed substitute Jon Speak, who squared for Steve Roche to finish from 10 yards.
Eleventh-placed Pershore host Studley in the league tomorrow night (7.45pm).
