PERSHORE Under-15s have flourished in a partnership with Worcestershire rivals Upton.
Both clubs would have struggled to offer players game time without working together within the age group.
The combined team beat Bromyard 22-14 in a thrilling match, despite windy conditions and rain.
The Herefordshire side enjoyed the best of the weather to lead 14-0 at half-time, with two breakaway tries being converted.
Pershore and Upton hit back with three touchdowns and secured a late penalty try, which was converted unlike the others.
On Saturday, Pershore Veterans play their Upton counterparts in a charity fundraiser (3pm).
Any potential new players or sponsors for Pershore can contact Ben Andrews on 07779-927852 or at prfc.juniors@hotmail.co.uk.
