EVESHAM lost ground in the Wildmoor Spa Tennis League Premier Division title race after being held 2-2 at fellow high-fliers Studley A.
Current champions Stratford-on-Avon reclaimed top spot on their own as they overwhelmed Alcester 4-0.
The Vale side were held 2-2 for the second successive week but the opening rubber went their way with Andy Crowther and Simon Wall beating Damian Hampton and Mark Willmore 6-4, 6-2.
However, Hampton and Willmore beat Evesham’s Chris Francis and Ray Foster-Morison 6-2, 6-2.
Studley duo Martyn Richards and Paul Farmer defeated Francis and Foster-Morison 6-3, 7-5 but lost 6-1, 6-2 to Crowther and Wall.
Ardencote Manor won 3-1 at Littletons as Sean Witheford and Dave Rudge fell to Ben Summers and Rich Butler 6-4, 6-3 and to Myles Wilcox-Smith and Jack Smith 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.
Littletons’ Richard Herborn and Jack Phillpot beat Wilcox-Smith and Smith 6-2, 7-6 but lost to Summers and Butler 6-1, 6-2.
Moreton-in-Marsh A opened up a five-point gap at the top of Division One with a 3-1 victory at fellow title-chasers Pershore A.
Whitnash moved up to joint fourth thanks to a 3-1 win at Inkberrow A.
HDA Redditch A took over the lead of Division Two with a 4-0 beating of Shipston-on-Stour A.
Chipping Campden A are sixth, one point ahead of Inkberrow B, who they defeated 3-1.
Claverdon B retained top spot in Division Three with a 3-1 win at Campden B.
Ilmington and Alcester C remain fifth and sixth respectively following their 2-2 draw.
In Division Four, HDA Redditch B lead by a solitary point following a 3-1 success at Bidford-on-Avon A.
Claverdon C dropped to second position after being held 2-2 by third-placed Pershore B.
Inkberrow C overcame bottom team Campden C 3-1 and Moreton B are joint sixth with Littletons B after being them 3-1.
Warwick still lead Division Five after a 4-0 win over Inkberrow D.
Bidford B had a 4-0 walk-over against basement boys Shipston B, who failed to field a team and were docked two points.
Moreton B drew 2-2 with second-from-bottom Evesham B.
n In the Wildmoor Spa Junior Cup, Evesham lead Pool B.
The third round hosts’ Ben Shepherd and Emmanuel Winston beat Campden B 6-1, Campden A 6-0 and Pershore 6-2.
Pershore claimed second with Dan Fishbourne and Aaron Mashi defeating Campden A 6-0 and Campden B 6-0.
Campden A juniors Will Smith and Alex Theo edged B team duo Harry Jeavons and Finn Watkins 7-5.
In Pool C, leaders Stratford’s Joseph Pinnock and William Noyes overcame Ilmington 6-0, Bidford 6-2 and hosts Littletons 6-3.
Littletons’ Callum Bennett and Liam Clear beat Bidford 6-0 and Ilmington 6-2.
Bidford’s Adam Farrow and Alfie Lovell claimed a 6-0 victory over Ilmington.
