WORCESTERSHIRE Cricket League Division One leaders Pershore remained 55 points clear with a 12th straight win at Hagley.

All three Pershore sides have won three out of three for the past six weeks, which is a fantastic testament to their strength in depth.

Worcester Nomads had Dave White’s plucky 88 not out to thank for their four-wicket win at Pedmore, who must have thought their poor run was ending when the visitors were on 194-6 while chasing 269 to win.

Droitwich thrashed second-from-bottom Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social to stay just 12 adrift of Nomads, who they are chasing for second spot, and have a 22-point cushion over fourth-placed Bewdley, who lost at Colwall as Ben Wheeler made 112no.

Burghill and Tillington continued their recovery, winning for a fourth week in a row by defeating Belbroughton, who now lead the Herefordshire side by 10 points in seventh place.

Redditch maintained their revival by dragging Bromyard back towards the bottom with a comprehensive victory over the troubled side, who are now without a win for a month.

The Division Two title race was blown wide open with the top three all losing to the sides immediately below them. For the top two, it was their first reversals this campaign.

Leaders Bredon lost at home to fifth-placed Worcester Dominies as Jon Hancock made 120, while Cookley slipped up at Coombs Wood in fourth.

Stourport were brought back down to earth at home to Feckenham when Danny Bloomer cracked 129 for the visitors.

However, Bredon stretched their lead over Cookley to 19 points and Stourport are 16 further back in third.
