EVESHAM United secured a replay after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at Chasetown in the FA Trophy preliminary round.
Matt Sysum converted an 85th minute penalty for the Robins against a strong home side who finished with 10 men.
United went behind on the quarter hour when Stan Mugisha capitalised on a mistake by Sysum to drill a low shot beyond Kevin Sawyer’s right hand.
Evesham created the better chances through Sean Wood and former Aston Villa youngster Dan MacDonald but the visitors could not put them away.
Defences were on top in the second-half until Chasetown substitute Danny Edwards was sent off after retaliating to a challenge.
The dismissal gave Evesham renewed hope and they were awarded a penalty with five minutes remaining after Adam Mann was fouled inside the box by Mike Williams.
Sysum sent former Evesham goalkeeper John Bateman the wrong way to set up a replay tomorrow night at the Jubilee Stadium (7.45pm).
Evesham United: Sawyer, Harding, Wellon, Williams (Brown), Sysum, Dovey, Wood (Washbourne 78), Smith, Macdonald, Mann, Stanley (Green).
Attendance : 203.
There was disappointment for Stourport Swifts who crashed to a 3-1 home defeat against lower-graded Black Country Rangers in the FA Vase second qualifying round.
Littleton fought back from 2-0 down at higher-ranked Westfields before slipping to an agonising 3-2 defeat at Allpay Park.
Dan Holloway and Calum Clarke netted for Littleton before Westfields hit a stoppage-time winner.
