WORCESTERSHIRE batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore is returning to Australia this winter for a second spell of grade cricket.

Kohler-Cadmore, who scored his maiden first class hundred against Middlesex in the final LV= County Championship match, is to play for Sydney side Penrith Panthers.

The former Malvern College pupil played for Adelaide University two years ago but is hoping this term Down Under will be more productive.

Kohler-Cadmore, who has just signed a new two year contract with Worcestershire, said: “I am looking forward to it. It is going to be awesome. I just can’t wait to get out there now. I’m there the whole winter.

“You get stick off them, it’s part of playing and it’s good if you can score runs out there, because you can score runs anywhere.

“It was good to finish the season for Worcestershire with my first hundred and hopefully I will get more runs under my belt this winter.

“It didn’t go that well two years ago in Adelaide. I kept finding ways to get out like I do. Hopefully this year I can sort it out and get big runs for my club over there.”

Kohler-Cadmore will become the third English player to join Penrith in recent seasons following the previous signings of Sam Billings (Kent) and Kish Velani (Essex).

England head coach Trevor Bayliss is a former Penrith player and current Aussie paceman Pat Cummins also plays for the club.

Penrith play in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition and Kohler-Cadmore will be available to make his debut in the first two day match against Eastern Suburbs in Round Three.

All-rounder Brett D’Oliveira has already confirmed he will be playing in South Africa for St. Augustine’s this winter – the club where his grandfather Basil D’Oliveira first made an impact.
