PERSHORE High School’s show jumping team finished seventh in the one-metre class in the National Schools Equestrian Association Championships at Addington.
Sophie Rushton, Pheobe Lole, Jessica Thomas and Erin Carvill also came ninth in the 1.10m class.
They had progressed to the nationals in the 1m category at one of many qualifying competitions across the country.
They secured their place as one of 41 teams from schools all over the country.
The girls jumped their first rounds in the 1m class and, at that stage, were third in the country.
They qualified for the final jump-off of the top eight schools but the slate was wiped clean for all teams.
Pershore dropped to seventh after the speed round and were the highest-placed state school in the country.
The girls then competed in the 1.10m class, securing another top 10 position in Buckinghamshire.
