MANAGER Paul Collicutt has described the visit of whipping boys Bashley to the Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (3pm) as a potential “banana skin” for Evesham United.

Bottom club Bashley have yet to pick up a point this season with 14 straight defeats in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West while conceding 120 goals.

However, Collicutt, whose side came from behind to win 4-1 at Bashley in August, says his players must guard against complacency.

“It is potentially a big banana skin,” he said. “They’ve obviously had a bad season but I am sure they will pick up a point between now and the end of the season.

“When we played them at their place, we went in at half-time losing 1-0.

“We got our act together in the second half and won 4-1 but I was very disappointed with the way we performed, so the lads have got to realise they have got to do a very professional job.

“There’s got to be no complacency and we must be on the front foot for 90 minutes.”

The versatile Jared Wilson is getting married today, while forward Lance Smith serves a one-match ban and defender Liam Harding is out for three weeks with a thigh problem.

But new signing Tom Fishwick is in line to make his debut.

The ex-Banbury United centre-back has been declared fit after recovering from an elbow injury.
