WORCESTER Nomads reclaimed top spot in Worcestershire League Division One with a 10-wicket thrashing of Cookley.

The hosts were bowled out for just 73 with Rich Henry taking 4-9 from 10 overs before Innocent Kaia scored 50 not out for the Bransford side.

Previous leaders Colwall slipped up at third-placed Hagley after they lost by 39 runs and fell five points behind.

Big hitter Joe Lennon whacked 71 from 36 balls, including eight sixes, in Hagley’s innings.

Burghill, Tillington and Weobley completed the top four after they beat Stourport by nine runs.

Worcester beat Droitwich by 60 runs to send their opponents into the relegation mire after a wretched run of results.

Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social won for the second time, thrashing Pedmore, and Belbroughton beat Bewdley by 20 runs.

In Division Two, leaders Redditch resumed their battle to regain top-flight status after thrashing winless bottom side Alvechurch and Hopwood by 79 runs.

Worcester Dominies won at Bredon by three wickets with Andy Wilks scoring 92 in response to Tim McVicker’s 110 for the home side.

Enville won at Lye by 26 runs after being hurried out themselves for just 82 thanks to 6-28 taken by Rhodri Parfitt.

The rest of the games in the division were rained off.

In Division Three, Bartestree and Lugwardine and Harborne’s top-of-the-table clash was abandoned.

Netherton closed the gap in third by beating Rushwick, who were skittled for 73.

Old Vigornians went down by eight wickets to Avoncroft with Dave James scoring 102 not out.

Kempsey went up to joint fifth after beating Himbleton thanks to 101 scored by Tristan Robinson and Ross-on-Wye lost out to Barnards Green.

In Division Four, leaders Martley marched on with a victory at Stourport and Five Ways Old Edwardians won at Himley.

Astwood Bank are third following a big win at home to Oldswinford and Claverley triumphed at Bromsgrove thanks to an all-round show by Ryan Mills, scoring 58 and taking 5-14.

Halesowen and Hanley Castle and Upton failed to start their game and the final match was a comprehensive victory for Kidderminster at Alveley.

In Division Five, Tenbury remained top with a win over Barnt Green and Hallow maintained the pressure, winning at Old Hill with Connor Murphy hitting 55 and Dave Pugh 51.

Old Elizabethans continued their good run and edged ahead of West Malvern, who they defeated helped by 3-4 from Matt Davis' six overs.

Stourbridge beat Droitwich and Redditch won the battle of the two winless teams at the bottom by beating Enville by one wicket with a six from the last ball.
