EVESHAM United take a trip into the unknown when they visit Market Drayton Town tomorrow in the FA Cup preliminary round (3pm).

Greenfields Sports Ground will be a new venue for Robins boss Paul Collicutt, who takes the same squad that drew 1-1 at Wantage Town in midweek.

It was a game of four penalty appeals on Tuesday, with the struggling Southern League Division One South and West hosts levelling from the spot.

Meanwhile, Collicutt was dismayed to see Evesham have one free-kick, after he felt a penalty should have been awarded, and two players booked for diving from their three shouts.

But he is now focused on their cup visit to Shropshire to face the ninth-placed Northern League Division One South side.

Collicutt said: “It was bitterly disappointing to come away from Wantage with a draw. The penalty was their one shot on target.

“But we’re looking forward to the FA Cup. It always brings good banter among the lads and other teams and we’re looking to earn a few extra quid.

“My reports tell me Market Drayton are a decent side who will make life difficult for us.

“I’m also told it’s a small playing surface though I’ve never been there before.

“But there’s no pressure on the lads and I want them to enjoy it and see what we can come away with.

“We’ve been creating chances in all our games and I’m just hoping we can put away one or two more.”

Meanwhile, Hereford FC renew rivalries with last season’s Midland League Premier Division title contenders Alvechurch in the FA Cup preliminary round at Edgar Street tomorrow (3pm).

Bulls manager Pete Beadle said of Church: “They pushed us really hard last year and I class them as a Southern League team because they are good enough to be there.

“They’ve had a few changes regarding personnel in the summer but the staff remain the same, so we will be fully prepared for it.”

City neighbours Westfields are also in cup action when Premier Division rivals Tividale visit allpay.park.

Division One side Bromsgrove Sporting have a tough test at Northern League outfit Rugby Town (both 3pm).
