EVESHAM United moved up to sixth place in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West with a convincing 3-0 win at lowly Paulton Rovers.
In the first half, Evesham had most of the possession but could not create any clear-cut chances.
But the second period was a different matter.
In the 54th minute, Paul Fahy put Evesham ahead.
The visitors soon had the ball in the net again but it was disallowed for a foul with Paulton themselves having an effort chalked off for offside.
With 20 minutes left, Nick Stanley doubled Evesham’s lead and in the 79th minute substitute Elliot Kennedy made it three.
It was an encouraging performance from the Robins going on to the next match at home to Yate Town on Tuesday.
Evesham: Sawyer, Dovey, Stanley, Turley, Harding, B Williams, Sheehan, Fahy, Mann, Magee, Bryan. Subs used: Binns, A Williams, Kennedy. Not used: Sysum.
Attendance: 141.
Meanwhile, leaders Hereford FC drew 1-1 at second-placed Tiverton Town in the same division with Tristan Pummer putting them ahead only for the hosts to equalise.
