PERSHORE Town won 2-1 at Studley in Midland League Division One.

Town could have won a scrappy match by a bigger margin had it not been for former keeper Shaun Edwards, who made some good saves, denying Jamie Clarke on several occasions.

Pershore took the lead after 31 minutes when a ball into the box was flicked on, Edwards was unable to hold on and Shaun Griffiths bundled home from close range.

Sean Cooke increased the lead after 75 minutes, finishing with a fierce shot from just inside the box having been put through by Ollie Casey.

Former Pershore player Danny Ludlow reduced the deficit with a couple of minutes remaining with a free-kick that may have taken a deflection before going in off the post.
