EVESHAM Cricket Club secured a nail-biting two-wicket victory at Bromyard to climb to the top of Worcestershire League Division Two.
Muhammad Saqib snapped up 3-39 to help dismiss Bromyard for 225 after George Leighton (75), Zahid Saeed (47) and Edd Oliver (34) had starred for the hosts.
Mohammad Fahim Maan made 43 and Ali Asghar weighed in with 40 as Evesham edged home in the 46th over.
Bredon surrendered top spot in the section after suffering a first defeat of the season, at the hands of rivals Chaddesley. They lost by 53 runs.
Despite the efforts of Kevin Wilkins (2-39), Dominic Fenney (2-43) and Tom Walsingham (2-48), Chaddesley posted 200-8.
Tim McVicker (34), Jamie Munro (25), Charlie McVicker (23) and Martin Hill (20) all got started but Bredon were shot out for 147 in 45.2 overs.
