CATHERINE Wheeler was the first Bourton Roadrunners’ athlete to cross the finishing line at the Liverpool Rock and Roll Marathon.
Wheeler clocked 3:41:15 for the marathon which weaved around the iconic sights of Liverpool and through parkland.
The final three miles took runners alongside the River Mersey.
Graham Lane secured his Good For Age qualification for next year’s London Marathon with a personal best of 3:43:19.
Susan Hunt was third FV50 in 3:43:53, followed by Steph Holton (4:08:08) and Jared Robinson, who smashed his previous best with 4:23:13.
Gary Holton (1:56:01) and Naomi Robinson (2:11:37) secured personal bests in the half-marathon and Lynn Hudson returned an impressive 2:14:59.
Liz and Brian Hulcup and Ed Rozier tackled the Vitality London 10K. Brian finished in 50:25, Liz in 54:21 and Rozier in 1:02:00.
