PERSHORE High School’s talented equestrian riders achieved outstanding success at the National Schools Equestrian Association Championship Qualifiers at Rectory Farm.

A host of Pershore riders, including Lauren Carpenter and Sophie Rushton, have secured qualification for the national championships.

Carpenter, 14, won the 90cm class on Drumcong Miller and Rushton, 18, won the 1m Individual Class on Hooray Henry.

The team of Rushton, Charlotte Albutt, Jessica Thomas and Grace Plowman won the 1m team class.

Plowman, 14, won the 1.10m Individual Pony Class on Fernville Max with Ruston achieving a third qualification to the nationals after coming second in the 1.10m individual class on Hooray Henry.

The team of Carpenter, Mouse Robinson, and Verity Hodge booked their place in the championship plate competition after coming third in the 90cm class.

Carpenter came sealed another place in the championship plate competition after a fourth place in the 1m class on Drumcong Miller.

The students’ success at Rectory Farm was on top of another championship qualifier at Hartpury in Gloucestershire the previous day.

Carpenter’s second-placed finish in the 90cm competition booked her a spot at the national championships.

She was also sixth in the 80cm individually to qualify for the championship plate.

Lily Elliott was 10th in the 80cm.

The 80cm team of Erin Hobbs, Karus Robinson, Grace Titterton and Gemma Williams qualified for the championship plate after finishing third.

And the 90cm team of Lily Elliott, Grace Titterton, Carpenter and Verity Hodge also sealed their berth in the national championship plate competition after coming fourth.
