SUE Wood won the individual prize in Naunton Downs Golf Club’s trip to Burghill Valley in Herefordshire.
Wood carded 37 points to triumph in the away day for ladies’ captain Gilly Ashton.
She was pushed all the way by Hazel Day who, with 36 points, finished second.
Cathryn Leftwich, Pam Sutcliffe, Jane Marsland and Jane Stephenson carried off the team honour after shooting 87 points.
Wood, Nicole Arkell, Lindy Shurmer and Pat Barton, who shot 81 points, were the runners-up.
A total of 40 ladies made the hour’s journey to the Herefordshire countryside on the warmest day of the year.
They played in teams of four with the best two stableford scores counted.
