CHRIS Davis and David Goodwin hit top form to lift the Bonzo Roberts Trophy at Broadway Golf Club.

The pair achieved a 68 nett in the foursomes men’s competition.

It doubled up as the club round of the Daily Mail Foursomes.

Davis and Goodwin could now represent Broadway in the future national rounds in 2018.

The Bonzo Roberts Trophy was donated in 1979 by former ladies’ captain Margaret Roberts in memory of her husband.

The trophy is awarded to the best scoring pair.

Callum Millard and Gary Barnett carded a 70 nett to finish second behind the winning pair.

Jamie Thomas and Barry Williams, with 70.5, took third place on a countback from Justin Loram and Paul Whelan.

Meanwhile, Julia Fortescue won the Silver Division in Broadway ladies’ England Golf Trust stableford.

Fortescue returned 39 points to achieve a clear lead over Pat Righton who, with 32 points, was second.

Sonia Ward and Jenny Brindley both scored 31 points with Ward taking third spot on a countback. Trish Gould took the Bronze Division by storm, recording 37 points.

Alison Hewitt shared the same score but dropped to second on a countback.

Diana Chambers sealed third with 36 points which pushed vice-captain Maggie McDivitt into fourth.
