ASTON Somerville, skipped by Dave Hill, took first place in the annual Littleton Bowling Club Invitation Gala Tournament.
Hill’s team recorded an 11-2 victory over Cam, skipped by Len Bennett, after only seven shots were scored at six ends.
Teams from the local area as well as Worcester and two from Cam and Wootton-under-Edge were divided into two sets of 10 who played four games each.
Pershore finished third after Roger Page skipped them to a 15-5 success over Cam.
Just six shots separated the teams at four ends but Pershore gradually pulled away for the win.
The popular tournament was backed by a host of supporters, including Winter Jack High Club Insurance, Avonmore Associates, Bolstrode Kennels and Pete Bott Skips.
Anyone interested in playing for the club should bring flat-soled footwear to a Wednesday night session which starts at 6.30pm.
