STEVE Foster hit top form to win Evesham Jubilee’s contest at the Jam Factory in Lower Broadheath.

Fishing on the Willow pool he caught 161lb 10oz as the match produced good weights with four anglers catching more than 100lb.

Richard Ford with 159-0 was second on the Sycamore pool.

Two sections were won with 100lb-plus weights.

Dave Bowditch on Willow caught 110-5 and Billy Pitman on the Sycamore weighed in with 105-0.

Martin Dougmore with 84-8 and Jim Bennett with 83-8 were other section winners.

Evesham Jubilee’s six-man squad won 4-2 in a home match against Babcock in the second round of the Angling Times Supercup.

Jubilee can now look forward to the regional semi-final at Tunnel Farm Barn on August 26.

Babcock’s Steve Evans won the match from Jubilee pool peg three with 74-1.

Chris Taylor finished in second place and won his section from Jubilee peg 13 with 55-9.

Phil Seedhouse was third from Jubilee peg 25 with 52-8 for another section win.

Mark Birbeck on peg 10 was behind in his section at one point but went on to catch 51-14 to take the victory.

Babcock’s Andy Selcombe placed 45-11 on the scales from peg 20, fishing against Jubilee’s Ian Pitman on peg 22.

But Pitman fished a superb match, weighing in 46-3, to take the section.

The latest round of the Evesham WMC Stillwater Shield was fished at Risssington Road lake in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Adam Baker fished the bread on the surface for a net of carp weighing 129-0.

Mick Brooks used the same method for 62-0 and Mark Sparrow again fished the surface for 45-4.

Section winners Jim Nicks with 30-0 and Vic Woods with 44-0.
